Material and Technics
Depending on the indication there are various bone cements to choose from which vary according to their viscosity, properties (loading strength, flexural strength and elasticity) and processing. Apart from cements without any active ingredient (e.g. PALACOS® R and PALAMED®) there are bone cements which contain antibiotics (e.g. gentamicin: PALACOS® R+G and PALAMED® G) as well as a number of special-purpose cements (e.g. OSTEOPAL® V).
