From a Hanau Pharmacy to a Global Group. Heraeus.

In 1851 Wilhelm Carl Heraeus, a pharmacist and chemist, took over his parents' pharmacy in Hanau. Just a few years later he developed a completely new process for melting platinum. It was the beginning of the family-owned Heraeus company which now has more than 11,800 employees in over 100 subsidiaries and affiliates.

Medical products and equipment, dental materials, sensors, quartz glass,
special-purpose light sources and precious metals – the Heraeus precious metals and technology group is a global leader in these fields, and many others besides.

There is a new and equally competent addition to the Heraeus Group: Heraeus Medical, your experts in state-of-the-art cementing technology and the people to contact for PALACOS® bone cements.
These proven cements, with and without antibiotics, have been developed and manufactured here for over 30 years, and distributed direct since 2004.
