The PALACADEMY® - progress depends on continuing education
PALACOS® by Heraeus has been the gold standard in endoprosthetics for many years. We want it to remain the gold standard in future as well. That is why we are investing not only in research and development but also in the continuing education of all personnel who work with our products on a daily basis. In 2006 we established the PALACADEMY® for this purpose.
Through the PALACADEMY® we offer orthopaedic surgeons, hospital pharmacists and operating theatre personnel certified continuing education events, seminars and workshops on all aspects of endoprosthetics.
PALACADEMY® online – virtual learning for genuine success
Now, in addition to classical continuing education in training centres, the course content of PALACADEMY® is available online. Surgical personnel can visit www.palacademy.net for comprehensive information on the chemical and mechanical properties of bone cements, how to handle them using modern cementing techniques and correct procedures in the operating theatre – supported by numerous illustrations, detailed videos and 3D animations. Routine tasks in surgery can be practised on screen in interactive course sections. All online courses of the PALACADEMY® are designed for the practical demands of the operating theatre. All courses have been developed by experts from clinical and research backgrounds and are being continuously expanded. In 2007 orthopaedic surgeons and hospital pharmacists will have access to special online modules of the PALACADEMY®.
